Talk:Secrets (AEG)
From D&D Wiki
I'm ready to go on transcribing the OGL portion as soon as I get the okay from GD on proper format.--GamerAim (talk) 16:07, 26 October 2016 (MDT)
- In case anyone notices, I will not be transcribing any NPC from this book. NPCs, more than anything, depend on a lot of product identity that without, are pretty much useless, IMO. They require a lot of context and descriptions that you aren't liable to get from a block of text (as opposed to creatures, classes, etc. (which legally speaking, I can and will at least write a short and adequate description for)), so for that reason, I do not plan to transcribe a half dozen NPC stats that are all alike anyway. The NPCs in this book are not generic, and are tied either to the sample adventure or to a product identity organization. If you want them, buy the book, I guess, and then you'll have all the stuff that makes them useful. As for if that will allow this publication's transcription to count as "complete," I will leave to those in charge.--GamerAim (talk) 19:47, 1 November 2016 (MDT)
Excluded Items[edit]
This is a list of OGC items that have been intentionally excluded from transcription:
- All NPCs: The NPCs in this book are specific entities and not general-use NPCs. Without the use of Product Identity (including name, description, the adventures and factions they were designed for), I deem the NPC stats to be a pointless inclusion to the wiki.
- Think Outside the Box: This feat's prerequisites cannot be met without the use Product Identity. Adapting the feat to work in other campaigns would require knowledge of the Product Identity. As such, I have left it out.
