Reason for Creation[edit]

Hello. I've been on this site for a while now and finally made my own account. Anywho, I've been getting back into the swing of things (Played for years between 3.0 and 3.5) but stopped when college and jobs hit. Now that I'm back, I needed to relearn everything. In the process of doing so I've been visiting a chatsite and speaking with players and DMs on ideas and such. During this conversation we happened upon the base classes. I told him how my least favorite class is the Fighter, which is ironic because I love swinging a big *** sword at things. I explained to him that I feel cheated out; That the SRD: Druid get's 21 Feats + the 7 natural Feats, so 28 in total. The SRD: Rogue gets 24 + 7, or 31 (Yes I include multiples such as Sneak Attack (+1d6) versus Sneak Attack (+2d6); Fact of the matter is it is a Feat and increasing your power.). I mean Hell, even the SRD: Monk gets an outrageous 31 Feats. Oh, wait. Scratch that. 38*. And the Fighter? A piddly little 11 + 7, or 18. Seriously, that's not even a Feat per Level. So, growing tired of it, and growing tired of having to constantly Multiclass and constantly Prestige and constantly spend hours building tables for different enemies and blah blah blah, I decided why not make a generic table clean across the board with a more "standard" amount of Feats? And while we're at it, give 'em absolutely zero direction. You want to be a hardened blacksmith? Go right ahead! A tough badass warrior? You got it! A sneaky rogue? Do it! We all start out in life with no experience and no knowledge, right? Why not start out a Class just the same way? At some point someone in the game world decided; "You know what? I'd like to be an adventurer!" and we always play assuming they've been on the travel for years, being middle aged or so and having a set amount of skills and abilities. But what about those who are just starting off? Those who just set their foot outside the door for the very first time? Give them a little buffer zone at 1st Level, and I guarantee they will flourish.

That, and I really hate being told what to do...

So, with that said, hope you guys enjoy the idea and let me know of any effective changes you think would make this Class more interesting.

Cheers!
