Talk:Sanctuary's Lot Human (5e Race Variant)

If I'm reading this right, it's the variant in the PHB plus +1 to two abilities and a tool proficiency and an extra language. Is anything planned to balance this? Marasmusine (talk) 11:48, 13 June 2015 (MDT)

I'm not sure I follow you. It's the human feat variant from PHB with one non-adventuring proficiency. That one extra doesn't even equal one whole feat. By comparison, the all other races in that setting have: two "preset" languages (instead of getting to pick one), one preset proficiency, resistance to at least one damage type, and a special (minor magic power or immunity to certain types of spells, or water breathing). even with those two, humans come out way behind. Though, I would argue that is also true in the PHB: nothing the default human has can match a breath weapon + damage resistance (dragonborn).

Or perhaps the confusion is something else? these aren't abilities added to something else: just what is on that page. Which, to reiterate, is just the variant human + 1 tool proficiency. --Eviltenet (talk) 12:53, 13 June 2015 (MDT)

Sorry, I missed that the variant human also has +1 to two abilities. So your variant is the same but with an extra proficiency. Still, outside your setting, there's no reason not to take this rather than the PHB variant, so I'll add the Supplement category. Marasmusine (talk) 01:24, 14 June 2015 (MDT)

Supplement Header[edit]

When you say "supplement header" do you mean you want the page moved to "Sanctuary's Lot Human (Sanctuary's Lot Supplement)" or you want the "Human Variant" title in the page to be modified in some way? Coaldstone (talk) 13:37, 10 March 2019 (MDT)

I don't recall but I think maybe the first one? This is straight up better than the already questionable variant human after all. —ConcealedLightChatmod.png (talk) 09:33, 11 March 2019 (MDT)
