Rangers don't get cantrips. SirSprinkles (talk) 02:03, 11 August 2017 (MDT)
In addition to SirSprinkles' comments above, here are my comments on the cantrip:
- No components? You can jump whenever you want, even when you are wearing armors that you are not proficient in, wielding weapons in both hands, or anything?
- Moving 60 feet as a cantrip greatly breaks balance. Notice that Dash action takes an action (or a bonus action, depending on your class) and that doubles your speed, not adding 60 feet. The misty step spell teleports up to 30 feet, and that's 2nd-level spell.
- Oh, and it also does damage, but 1d6 undefined damage type damage is pretty much nonexistent. It also does not scale with your level, so it's more or less obsolete. Why not just move? Or maybe the energy knocks people prone?
- The jump distance scales with your level, but it does not par with other cantrips, which increases in 5th level, 11th level, and 17th level.
In short: Needs serious balance patch there. --WeirdoWhoever (talk) 00:42, 13 August 2017 (MDT)
