Talk:Sailor Scout (5e Class)
From D&D Wiki
The gentlemen that addressed this did not give me time to finish my editing upon first posting the Class. Many of his insurmountable edits have since been fixed. I still have some formatting to do so the links will go to the correct places.
Page is formatted now, and easily navigatable.
I have added a Class table to the Class Sheet, stop saying I have not, and stop tagging it as such.
- You have added a class table, but you have not added the proper class table included in the 5e class preload. The preload table is important in 1.) making things look polished, and 2.) displaying information on the 5e Classes page such as a summary and spellcasting information. -Ref3rence (talk) 15:12, 2 March 2020 (MST)
- I have edited this class to be more inline with the layout of this wiki. Certain features have question marks around them. This is because, as far as I can tell, they do not have any relation to 5e mechanics. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. -Ref3rence (talk) 07:03, 3 March 2020 (MST)
I am not sure what you did with the page that has caused it not to show up in the 5e Homebrew Classes page, but I have been unable to correct it.
- This looks to have been corrected**
Taunt is in reference to this form of ability: https://www.dandwiki.com/wiki/Taunt_Condition_(5e_Variant_Rule). It is also a mechanic that is often use in tandem with Intimidation in many home brews.
Some of the abilities do not have 5e analogues, as this is a homebrew class designed around making a balanced, but true to form Sailor Scout. Transformations adding to statistics is not an unknown mechanic, but I have taken this Mechanic, and made it part of the Transformation. The Sailor's transformation not only transforms the Sailors clothes, but their ability to do things improves drastically, hence I have game-ified that with their transformation directly adding to their statistics during transformation, based on their Charisma.
I have been careful to manage this, furthermore the Spell Table is not exactly right, but as you want to use a preloaded class I will leave it. She should have no spells prior to having her transformation, as she cannot cast outside of her transformation (other than Wit, but that is not gained until after she has gained the ability to transform).
I have corrected a few editing errors in the class table.
- I meant moreso that I have no idea what Oblivious is supposed to do. 5e doesn’t have a “Fear DC”. I assume this has something to do with the frightened condition, but it doesn’t explain anything. What am I not noticing? If this does have to do with the aforementioned condition, how is it any different from simply succeeding the saving throw? -Ref3rence (talk) 18:56, 4 March 2020 (MST)
Class Cantrips[edit]
Your class table mentions the class gains cantrips. Your description states the spells are from Paladin. Paladins do not get cantrips, where are the cantrips from?
SORRY My Error I see it now Cantrips from Bard
