Activation Time[edit]

I do believe the activation of magic items other than potions or oils is a standard action that provokes no attack of opportunity. I like the idea of a ring with Greater Invisibility on it but it must follow the standard rules of magic items as well. --173.33.2.57 11:21, 10 December 2009 (MST)

The pricing is for command word activated, and speaking is a free action. Generally the activation time is similar to that of casting time used to create the spell, but as you can see from the table in the DMG on page 285 and the surrounding text, this can be overridden with enough money. -Valentine the Rogue 12:22, 10 December 2009 (MST)
but even still, most command word items have a specific number of uses per day. So i would personally like to see the calculations you did to find the price of this item and how many charges it has per day 173.33.2.57 19:10, 10 January 2010 (UTC)
As quoted from the SRD, a ring’s ability is activated by a command word (a standard action that does not provoke attacks of opportunity) or it works continually. The Ring of Invisibility is activated in this way, and is continuous until the wearer wills it otherwise or ends Invisibility as normal. --173.245.55.104 23:17, 26 October 2011 (MDT)

Pricing[edit]

I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but shouldn't the price listed be multiplied by 4? You have the right equation up to that point, but in truth, the final price would be 224,000 GP...much more than what you have listed. --173.245.55.104 23:17, 26 October 2011 (MDT)
