Talk:Radiant Mind, Starlight Soul (5e Subclass)
From D&D Wiki
- What is this an archetype of. Different classes have different numbers of features at different levels. You can't say "Any wizard, or spell user can become a Radiant Mind."
- Lord of Stone
- "The player can consume" - Write in second person, "You can consume..."
- "5+level+fortitude" - what is "fortitude"? I shall proceed assuming you mean Constitution.
- "kilograms" - D&D uses lbs. I shall proceed assuming this is what was meant.
- of what? I think this is rock?
- Let me run through an example, have I got this right? Let's say I'm level 10 with Con 16. I can consume 31 lbs of rock, regaining 7 hit points. If I eat 40 lbs of rock, this is 9 lbs over this value, so I gain 9 temporary hit points. I "can" (I read this as "must") make a DC 9 Constitution check. If I fail I lose 7 hit points (it's unclear if I can take this from the THP).
- Instead of gaining 7 hit points I can make an attack which deals 7 points of damage. If this is a feature I can use during combat, you should say that eating rock uses an action. I don't know what the attack roll is, or if it's ranged or melee, or if it's weapon or spell, or what the range is.
- It doesn't say how long I can wait before I can do this again.
- Lord of the Seas
- If I use this feature against an elemental (I assume this means water elemental), it doesn't say if this is an attack roll or a saving throw, or what the range is. Does this use an action?
- What is "health" or "stamina"?
- How much water is absorbed over what period of time?
- There's a 1st-level spell called create or destroy water which lets me remove 10 gallons of water, which is much more effective than "intelligence modifier pounds."
- How often can I use this?
- Lord of Flame
- How do I "consume hp"? Is this my own HP? What does the burst of fire hit? Is it an attack roll, or do targets make a saving throw? Why would I do this when as a spellcaster I have plenty of fire spells that don't drain my HP?
- Lord of Life
- What is the range? Does it use an action? Is this an attack roll or a saving throw? How much HP is consumed? How does the alignment change work (is it literally one use of this feature = one change in alignment?) What is "further downward" than evil? How do you force a lawful good player to attack this player? Why is this feature deemed worse than various nefarious spells already at your disposal? Marasmusine (talk) 13:00, 11 April 2016 (MDT)
- All problems seem to have been addressed; thank you for indicating them.--
