  • I'm a bit worried about balance, but I'm mostly here because I cannot get the formatting to do what I want, namely, make a bulleted list under certain "traits." Help! --SpectralTime (talk) 09:19, 30 December 2016 (MST)

Shapeshift says "you can gain one of the following abilities", but I can't see any listed abilities (any maybe call them something else: abilities are Strength, Dexterity, etc) Marasmusine (talk) 12:14, 30 December 2016 (MST)

  • Then I'll edit the page again. But the problem's with the coding. I dunno how to get the page to display the bulleted list of... powers? before the next trait. --SpectralTime (talk) 13:13, 30 December 2016 (MST)
  • Also, stumped on how to word the "reallocation" part of their powers. The intent is, obviously, to move the +2 bonus to a stat around, but I think I keep wording it in such a way as to allow a stat to be decreased over and over. --SpectralTime (talk) 10:10, 1 January 2017 (MST)
  • Never did figure out how to get the formatting the way I liked it... Anyway, I'm here to try to defend my work. I'd argue that a majority of it isn't "on demand," and doesn't truly obsolete other races. And also that adjustable ability score modifiers isn't as good as it sounds, but I'll start somewhere simpler. First, you essentially do have fewer abilities than any other race, and having to take an action to switch between them on the fly is always a harsh thing. And it's mostly the weaker benefits locked there, with the stronger ones requiring a full short or long rest to switch out. The one ability I'm uneasy about is either the Mindwarp subrace's Twisting Maze or Artificial Intuition benefits. I should probably delete one and leave the other, just because the other subrace's abilities are intentionally somewhat weak and situational. --SpectralTime (talk) 21:22, 12 July 2018 (MDT)
