Talk:Power Word Save (5e Spell)
From D&D Wiki
This may be a mistake of my part, but this spell seems to be made by AI. The way it is written is strange, and it does deviate from 5e balancing quite a lot... even for a 9th level spell... but the way its worded is what screams to me this was made by AI. I have nothing against using AI to get the frame of certain content like spells, but do try to do some polishing on it... --NamiraFerskil (talk) 13:23, 8 August 2023 (MDT)
Now for the content itself, this spell is too much. A 10 minutes duration (concentration, but still), 120ft radius spell that target any amount of creatures the caster desires and provides not one, but 4 benefits to them is... too much. Fatigue Immunity is rather situational and would be fine to be paired up with another effect in this list, perhaps allowing this spell to provide 2 benefits, but resistance against all damage from spells, given by Spell Resistance, and a 35 hit point healing that ticks once per turn at no cost, given by Vital Empowerment, is way too much. To make matters worse, Protection from Mind Control is too vague when it comes to mechanical effect, being way too reliant on DM approval as to what it could or not protect against. Finally, Extended Casting is just odd... What would be the division criteria when determining half of a creature's spell slots? Would you consider the total sum of spell slots they have or the sum of the spell slots' levels? And why would this even be possible in the first place? --NamiraFerskil (talk) 13:23, 8 August 2023 (MDT)
Agreed, needs to be rewritten --NinePlanets (talk) 13:24, 8 August 2023 (MDT)
