Plague[edit]

Sooo I commented on the plague page about its mechanics, but right away I am curious what makes one immune to the plague? Someone who contracts "takes a level" in plague priest and their immune? I know we are playing a game, but there should be a bridge like a ritual or concoction drank in order to be immune to this. Granted, the plague will lose some of its threat and potency but we can work on those details. For now, I am stuck how does someone level up and gain immunity to this very lethal disease. ~ BigShotFancyMan (talk) 07:23, 7 March 2019 (MST)

Uniqueness[edit]

I think you could attain uniqueness if there were different plague effects. Right now, the plague as its own disease and being part of this is complicated and raises difficult interaction of balancing two things. Usually, an effect is balanced within a class. The plague is being balanced (or not?) against other diseases and also as a class feature.
I like the idea of spreading plagues or diseases, but I think it would be good to do something internal within the class or don't introduce homebrew diseases yet and see what can be done with 1st party examples. ~ BigShotFancyMan (talk) 08:03, 7 March 2019 (MST)

Another thing to comment, the features and subclass features are adding spell-like abilities. This isn't adding new elements to the game like is being discussed on Discord. So there's that to keep in mind. Your features could alter the diseases that are presented in the DMG for an example. You can have features that create an aura a filth, disgust and disease that surrounds you. Flies, gnats, and other little buggers accompany you on your quest to spread and infect anything. Your diseases can manifest in a blight manner; affecting vegetation. See how you like those ideas, maybe help create your own. ~ BigShotFancyMan (talk) 08:24, 7 March 2019 (MST)
