It was designed for Rangers only unless you think it is better to allow any character who has a pet to be able to use this ability? Azernath (talk) 17:40, 15 June 2016 (MDT)

The feat is still only mildly useful. In addition, I think the Revised Ranger mostly negates the need for these benefits. I think the feat should either be deleted, or heavily reworked and reworded (the wording is rather confusing). Carcabob (talk) 20:15, 9 November 2016 (MST)

I did a heavy rework on the feat, and even changed the name. I benchmarked the revised ranger from Unearthed Arcana article as provided above by Carcabob, and made the feat essentially a weaker version of Animal Companion feature plus find familiar spell. I'm not sure if it's good enough for a feat, but for now, this is the best I can get. --WeirdoWhoever (talk) 13:22, 9 June 2017 (UTC)

I feel like this can be done without the feat anyway. It is not unreasonable that the DM would permit this to a PC to buy a trained animal (or train one themselves). Marasmusine (talk) 18:10, 12 June 2017 (UTC)
