Talk:Parasite (5e Race)
From D&D Wiki
Minor Questions[edit]
I merely wanted to ask about its limbless trait, the physical description of the parasite and its type. If it says that you can store things inside your parasite, and you are playing the parasite class, I assume you get to keep the items you store within you inside you and inside your host. In fact I remember seeing you could keep a spell book or holy symbol inside yourself due to specific subclass choices you make as a part of the class linked to that race. So does that mean items don't come out of your parasite if you enter a host, meaning you could store something like a dagger inside. And if a weapon or a useful book/information was stored inside you, could you get it out without leaving your host's body. Following that could you store things inside the parasite by putting it inside a host's mouth or extend the parasite out of the body to store it? Second I wanted to ask what it looked like. I get it looks like a pile of goo, but in the parasite class description, the examples describe black goo and red goo entities. Does that mean the goo can be any color or just those two/mix of those two? I'm merely wondering if its like an ooze in nature. speaking of, I wanted to ask what type of creature the parasite is. It is in the humanoid category but it is described as a tiny sized pile of goo with no bones or limbs. I would assume ooze at that point. Just merely asking. Either way I would assume you gain the type of the host once it is a permanent host. Or probably at least stage 2?
Its a fantastic race and class, I just wanted to clear up some questions I had on it. I'll probably leave class related questions on the class page though, but seeing as both are linked, I would assume that any information on one would apply to the other. Seeing how you cant have the race without the class or vice versa. Again I would love to play this in a campaign at some point and if I do I'll try to leave feedback on my experience. --The Grand Showmanship (talk) 15:48, 1 March 2020 (MST)
