LA mistake and lack of sources[edit]

If you read the tauric entry in savage species carefully, it says that the quadruped, not the humanoid, is referred to as the base creature. It also says that the tauric creature has all the base creature's characteristics except as noted. Since it makes no mention of level adjustment, this means that the LA of the quadruped, not the humanoid, is counted against the combined creature. However, this is a great concept for a build, and I'd love to see you take it further. Also, many of these templates are not in the books you listed on the page (or at least I couldn't find them). Could you perhaps list the sources of all of the templates? --Daniel Draco 11:12, 17 January 2008 (MST)

No, the Savage Species entry states "Level Adjustment: +2 (apply this to the level adjustment of the base humanoid)." Therefore, that part of his calculations, at least, is correct. ~Ddragon Necrophades
That's in the example creature, which is the completed creature with the template already added and nothing left to figure out (though that does mean the "apply this to the level adjustment of the base humanoid" part doesn't make sense). The template itself lists no level adjustment. --Daniel Draco 18:52, 11 June 2008 (MDT)

HD by level 20[edit]

Perhaps you missed the immunity to sleep at second level? Overall point still stands, though. -- Jota 12:07, 9 July 2009 (MDT)
Right. Low HD + Low saves means a high-level wizard just got himself a brand new bodyguard. Ghostwheel 07:25, 10 July 2009 (MDT)
