Talk:Orecutter Dwarf (5e Subrace)

Adventure designers expect certain types of mobility at certain levels. We often restrict unrestricted flight to about 5th level, since that's when the fly spell is available, and "I'll fly to the top of the tower and bypass the adventure" scenarios can be avoided.

Earth Glide is like this and more so. In a typical dungeon, you could just run around (and up and down) revealing all the rooms, bypassing encounters and locked doors, even going directly to the quest location. If this is a permanent effect, it should be restricted to 9th level (when similar spells are available), or limited in some other way. Marasmusine (talk) 03:33, 18 February 2016 (MST)
