Talk:Necromancer Minions (4e Creature)

The average damage of a heroic tier striker is 19.5 to about 23.5 damage.

The average damage of a paragon tier striker is about 33 to 42 damage.

The average damage of a epic tier striker is about 54 to 64 damage.

Bear in mind that some have a higher +hit. For instance, the rogue has +1 to hit for using a dagger, an additional +1 hit for their rogue power, and +1 hit for nimble blade. And, a rogue targets reflex, compared to AC. If a rogue uses a craghammer this can boost the average damage up by 4 points, or 25.5, but it's against AC. Some feats can make it fortitude or reflex. Targeting reflex is on average, +3 to hit, but it varies from creature to creature.

Combat advantage is an additional +2 to hit, which depends on the striker involved. Melee strikers can gain this bonus more easily by flanking so, Necromancer's can take advantage of this with minion's.

Bear in mind, the average damage is without certain bonuses. Some can give an extra +10 to damage such as Morninglord, or others can provide extra bonuses equal to dexterity or wisdom modifiers, some increase your crit chance from a 20 to an 18-20, like with daggermaster and so on. Paragon path powers can provide additional damage bonuses. This is just the base stats.

Ranger , +2 if using two-weapon fighting, etc.
2[W] (13) + 1d8 + Enhancement Bonus (2) + Weapon focus (2) + = 21.5
2[W] (13) + 2D8 + Enhancement Bonus (6) + Weapon focus (4) + Bracers of melee striking (4) = 36
4[W] (6.5 x 4) + Enhancement Bonus (10) + Weapon Focus (6) + Melee Bracers (4) + Quarry (13.5) + = 59.5

Rogue, bonuses to damage if using a rapier or craghmmer etc.
1[W] (2.5) + Enhancement Bonus (1) + Weapon focus (1) + Dexterity (5) + Strength (3) + Backstabber 2d8 (9) = 21.5
1[W] (2.5) + Enhancement Bonus (3) + Weapon focus (2) + Dexterity (6) + Strength (4) + Backstabber 3d8 (13.5) + Melee Bracers (2) = 33
2[W] (2.5 x 2) + Enhancement bonus (5) + Weapon Focus (3) + Melee Bracers (2) + Dexterity (9) + Strength (7) + Backstabber 5d8 (27) = 58, plus other bonuses, more if you use a rapier, craghammer etc.

Necromancer[edit]

After constitution, enhancement bonuses and additional feat bonuses, you would want to do between 14 and 16.5 damage to be at striker levels. The exception being the felhunter, who targets reflex. Bonuses to +hit roughly equate to 10% more damage, per +hit. This increases to approximately 27.5 damage, and 40.5 damage at level 11, and level 21, respectively. The damage is equal to the roll + the constitution modifier, enhancement bonus and a single additional +1/2/3 for a feat bonus. This equates to approximately +7 damage at heroic, +14 damage at paragon, and +22 damage at Epic. This is for base damage; the damage may increase depending on various feats or other abilities. For instance, dual implement wielding can double the enhancement bonus, increasing it even more. The Necromancer does extremely high damage compared to most strikers, but has substantially lower +hit. Despite being a melee striker who targets AC, they lack a proficiency bonus for using a weapon, and thus on average do 20% less damage. Necromancer's are good at nova damage, doing lots of damage in sudden bursts, but are chaotic and uncontrolled, being very inconsistent in their damage output.
