May I adopt this page since you are getting rid of it?--Jason Bagby 22:29, 18 August 2009 (MDT)
I'm pretty sure I speak on the author's behalf when I say no, although perhaps Sulacu will deign to let you have it. What changes would you make to it (given that it's pretty much done) were you to receive said permission? -- Jota 23:11, 18 August 2009 (MDT)
I would ask him if he wanted any changes. Otherwise, I wouldn't change anything because I think this a quality article worth preservation. --Jason Bagby 11:50, 19 August 2009 (MDT)
Then you're not adopting it, and the answer should be no. -- Jota 11:49, 19 August 2009 (MDT)
Why not and why are you deciding whether I can adopt this page or not? It should be up to Sulacu not you.--Jason Bagby 11:59, 19 August 2009 (MDT)
It is up to Sulacu, but you are not planning on adopting it, you're just going to put your name on it and leave it as is. Why should you get credit (even partial) for something that you put no effort into? -- Jota 13:29, 19 August 2009 (MDT)
No I did not say that I just want to preserve it so it doesn't get deleted. And, I don't plan on taking any credit for it. I don't even give a damn who gets the credit I just want to preserve this page.-- Jason Bagby 13:41, 19 August 2009 (MDT)
I don't think you understand what adoption is, and whether or not the page is deleted is really not your call. It's not mine either, but the point is your desires are irrelevant. -- Jota 18:42, 19 August 2009 (MDT)
Adoption means To take and follow (a course of action, for example) by choice or assent. To take up and make one's own. To take on or assume. To vote or to accept. I think I know what it is. He obviously doesn't want it. -- Jason Bagby 20:15, 19 August 2009 (MDT)
Quoting a dictionary doesn't make you sound smart, especially because you have already displayed your ignorance in this matter. To adopt an article generally refers to taking an unfinished and stagnant work and assuming responsibility for its completion, the key idea there being unfinished and stagnant. This article is complete and the author has requested its removal: there is no room for adoption. -- Jota 23:14, 19 August 2009 (MDT)
Haven't you ever seen a page that was so good you just couldn't stand by and see it go that's the predicament I am in. That's why to insure it stays around I want to adopt it. He obviously doesn't want it anymore.-- Jason Bagby 11:21, 21 August 2009 (MDT)

Don't you get it? It's Sulacu's page, thus making your desires are irrelevant. If Sulacu wants it deleted, then that is what should happen. You can copy it and keep it on your hard drive, but in the case of it's continued existence on this wiki, you have no say, capice? Besides, how often are you going to want a CR 36 monster? -- Jota 12:49, 21 August 2009 (MDT)
