A Look at This Subclass[edit]

Let us take a look at this subclass and its features along with everything else in it.

  • Image. The image on the page is lacking an artist source. Because of this, I will be adding the {{Unattributed}} template to the page.
  • Description. The subclass's description is a tad bit short, but it otherwise does a decent job describing the subclass.
  • Spells. The spell selection for the most part seems really good. The only spell I am not sure of is elemental bane, but with that said, there doesn't really appear to be any other 4th level spells that will fit that well.
  • Bonus Proficiencies. Standard cleric feature that works for this subclass.
  • Shockwave. A really odd feature. I do believe the feature is good, but it could use some help here and there. "Effects" is not a defined term in 5e and it isn't clear what other things besides spells this would affect. Maybe a race trait that deals thunder damage? I would recommend just removing the "Effects" wording. Besides that, the additional cantrips are lacking the "which doesn't count against the number of cleric cantrips you know." wording.
  • 'Channel Divinity: Applied Force. I do like this feature, but it is exceptionally weak for a Channel Divinity. Besides that, I feel like something that has to do with being an unstoppable force may be better. Something along the lines of "Ba to use, until the end of the turn your movement speed increases by 10 feet, you can move through other creatures' spaces but can not end your turn on another creature's space, and the first time you move through each creature's space this turn, they must make Strength saving throw or be knocked prone. "
  • Momentum. 6th level cleric features are almost exclusively utility or defense features. Besides the fact that it is unclear what types of things you add damage dies to, the additional damage is too good in conjunction with Divine Strike. I do feel that the ability to ignore difficult terrain would perhaps fit better here instead of the current passives.
  • Divine Strike. Looks good and thematic.
  • Grand Chariot. Honestly, this seems somewhat bland. As of right now I am drawing a blank of what could replace/be added to this feature but suffice to say blindsight just doesn't seem to fit the subclass's theme.

And with that, I should be done looking at the subclass. Although it has been a while since it was requested for someone to look over this, I do hope my thoughts on the subclass help improve it. --Blobby383b (talk) 10:56, 25 January 2022 (MST)
