Spacing[edit]
Why are the right-side pictures shifting the entire section of their article lower? I've done some basics, but being that this is WotC stuff I didn't want to start messing with the page too much just yet. Hooper talk contribs email 08:05, 17 December 2008 (MST)
Practically Impossible?[edit]
When i saw the Perception DC was set at 30, it scared me. It's considered a "Hard" DC for characters around 20th level, let alone 7th and 14th. I'd recommed setting the DC according to the monster's level and the chart on DMG p. 42 (or according to personal experience/play-testing), or simply make it an opposed Steath check (with a reasonable bonus for the crafty critter). - Practically?? I was shooting for absolutly impossible. A PC should have virtually no chance of IDing a Mimic unless it allows it ,or they take a few practical steps to insure what they are messing with is what it appears to be. I would hate for this beaties main power (mimicing) to be fouled by a simple Perception check...no the PCs will need to do better then that. And you should meet one of my Player's Elven Monk...he has a Perception of 19 at 8th level...so this would challenge him, but not be impossible. -- Sepsis 10:21, 11 October 2009 (MDT)
