Talk:Merchant (5e Class)

I don't think "pocket change" works very well. Firstly, how much treasure you find is entirely up to the DM. Secondly, you'll have the metagaming of making sure only the merchant player searches bodies. Thirdly, it's inconsistent: If 1 pp is found, there's a 500% increase; if the same value in sp is found, there's a 2% increase. Marasmusine (talk) 04:44, 23 April 2018 (MDT)

The "pocket change" problem applies to All the Way to the Bank: you don't get to say what reward you get.

Okay, I don't understand how Bang for your Buck works. How do you spend the gold coins? Where do they go? Where does the AC bonus come from? Same for Spend Money to Make Money. It just doesn't make sense. Maybe if you were the follower of some currency-based deity, and the coins are sacrificed in some kind of Channel Divinity action, it would make some sense. But it would still be a bad class feature, as how many coins you have is going to vary greatly from campaign to campaign. Marasmusine (talk) 04:55, 23 April 2018 (MDT)

Been gone a while wanted to check out some things and since the Angel class has been changed way past my edits and locked I am going to work on this one again instead. --Suppoko (talk) 17:24, 7 June 2018 (MDT)
