Talk:Maltheur's Wand of Supreme Frost Rays (5e Equipment)
From D&D Wiki
This wand, and Corazon's wand (Corazon's Wand of Greater Fire Bolts (5e Equipment)) previously offered the user to learn their spells permanently after 1 year of attunement, clearly a drastic oversight.
I'm curious whether it would be considered balanced if the wands were destroyed when the spell was learned, possibly accompanying an increase in rarity?

- Cantrips in general are a bit of a hard thing to balance while remaining unique, as they can be cast without limit. If they have too powerful of an effect, they eclipse all others, and if their effect is too weak they are never used. I think these items as they are now represent a fairly balanced option, as they are a slight yet noticeable improvement to said cantrips that lasts only so long as they are attuned to and wielding the item. Nevertheless, I leave the floor open for other opinions, as I don't want to monopolize your time.
