Talk:Lloth's Glaive (5e Equipment)

Sentient weapon is not a rarity, replace this with legendary or artifact based on the designed power level of the weapon. Also, a follower of lloth is not adequately explained. Who/what is lloth(lesser deity of chaos, destruction, and spiders/drows)? Making the weapon require attunement by a chaotic neutral or evil creature would be much better in terms of allowing more PC's to use the weapon.

This weapon should not be allowed to attack as a bonus action, as the weapon already adds a huge amount of bonus damage to attacks. If the attack as a bonus action is kept, and the rarity changed to legendary, the weapon's damage needs to be reduced to +1/2d4 damage or similarly reduced.

Blood Pact is incredibly powerful, so powerful to the point of being broken when fighting multiple weaker creatures. The effect could be limited to once and make the effect regained at dusk/midnight/dawn, as well as making the effect optional when you kill a creature.

Those are all my thoughts for now about the weapon, gl.--Blobby383b (talk) 11:14, 17 November 2017 (MST)

Why does a deity have to be explained? I don't reckon they usually are when referenced. BigShotFancyMan (talk) 13:34, 17 November 2017 (MST)
You don't have to, but a simple description may help with explaining to anyone who uses this weapon who lloth is if they don't know. On another note, I am actually loving how this weapon is turning out and believe the balance is fine, but I still think that sentient weapons can break campaigns due to how absurdly powerful they are.--Blobby383b (talk) 18:20, 17 November 2017 (MST)
Thanks, I've tweaked some stuff based on the feedback, cleaned everything up a bit and added in a little Design Note about Lloth with lines to other SRD on the wiki and a page number for the Monster Manual full entry on the Drow and as such Lloth. ConcealedLight (talk) 06:38, 19 November 2017 (MST)
