Talk:Lecteur'Fou (5e Race)

Definietly seems like a fun race to play! Planning on using it in my next campaign. However, if I could make a suggestion: perhaps make it so that you'll need to keep the eye moist to get the sharp eyed trait's advantage? In the description, Lecteur'Fou are described as "unblinking", so the eye would probably dry out fast. DM's could probably add "eyedrops" to the world to accommodate this race. The special eyewear thats used in the example image could also be added to their world to help with it. Of course to balance it, the eyewear could probably will break after enough beatings seeing as it's made of glass. I'm just kind of just rambling here, but I thought I'd mention it here in case someone wants to use it in their campaign??

I didn't think of that, thats a good idea. I'm glad that you like the concept, have fun! --MrBrink 20:38, 16 November 2017

Name[edit]

I really like the name of this race, which I'm guessing is French (or quasi-French) for "mad reader". That said, it's always capitalized in both of its parts throughout the text. I think it'd look nicer to make it all lower-case ("lecteur'fou"), but didn't want to make such a change without consulting with others first. Thoughts?

Also, the weight modifier looks wonky: someone more knowledgeable could fix it :P Cancelion (talk) 23:55, 16 November 2017 (MST)

That is actually the correct formatting going by wiki standards if you'll see the Help:When to Italicize and Capitalize. --ConcealedLightThis user is an administrator (talk) 06:27, 6 May 2018 (MDT)

Hey! I really like this race and I am going to build a character with it soon (I don't know if I'll be able to play it but I enjoy making character builds for fun so whatever haha)! I was hoping the creator could add what ability score to use to the racial trait "The Evil Eye", since it doesn't currently have one. I am assuming that it will be Intelligence, but anyone using this race later would probably appreciate it. Nice build! - Lord Duncan Lord Duncan (talk) 10:24, 18 April 2019 (PDT)
