Talk:Large Pit Trap (4e Trap)
From D&D Wiki
I (jerden, creator of this humble page) am going to stop making Large pit traps now as 1. it will get tedious 2. I'm not sure if it will scale up well above Heroic tier, particually as I have no experiance of High Level Adventures and 3. Pit traps seem more of a small scale thing more for Heroic level adventures, you know? Epic heroes don't fall down concealed holes! Plummet into ancient abyses or dark canyons maybe, but not a hole someone dug.
Anyway, thanks to whoever sorted this page out for me, but I did change the Disabling DCs because I thought "How hard can it be to break a cover on a trap?" The challenge should be seeing it first.
The maximum fall damage is 50d10 in case anyone wants to know. Someone told me. So making a hole over 500 feet deep will be a little unnecisary and won't have any effect.
