Can you review the traits/powers granted by the races from the Monster Manual? They are for DMs designing NPCs and aren't always suitable for a PC. For example, the bugbear's Oversized trait. The bullywug's Rancid Air trait is almost useless for a PC. Duergar's infernal quill's inflicts ongoing damage on an encounter power, which is okay for a NPC but not done for PCs. And so on.
