Questions[edit]

First off, let me say how refreshing it is to see a trait that actually has mechanical drawbacks (as they all should). I have a question about the "buy-off system you have". Suppose you're a fighter with 9 Int. You're only getting 1 skill point per level. Does that mean you can never buy-off the trait, or can you do it over the span of 3 levels? If so, does the drawback reduce with every point, or only after buying off all three? Also, what if the skills you chose are cross-class skills. Do you have to spend double to buy them off, or not? --Badger 12:05, 20 June 2011 (MDT)

I guess I never really thought through the buyoff for skill-point deficient characters; I'll have to adjust the description. As for your second point, I considered adjusting the "price" for cross-class skills, but decided that the skills weren't cross-class when the character learned them (i.e., during their childhood). I suppose this could hypothetically be gamed to come out ahead mechanically, but a +1 in a cross-class skill is probably not going to make a meaningful difference for anyone. --Snikers 13:12, 20 June 2011 (MDT)
