Hmm, perhaps they should be able to learn common, as well? Otherwize they'll have some trouble in cities.
...All this is is a slightly enhanced halfling, then? Perhaps give it some variety, something like a burrow speed of 20 feet in sand, or proficiency in half spear... Just to give it flavor.
