Difficulty Class[edit]

A common, cheap ingest poison that kills instantly as a secondary effect would turn any campaign setting upside down as it is, but with no save allowed? No sane DM would ever allow you use it in a game. If it was used against players it would piss them off big time, Tomb of Horrors-style, and using it against anyone else is just mean and unfair, plain and simple. It doesn't matter if it kills slow, most NPCs can't afford a Neutralize Poison spell to be cast on them every time someone with enough disposable income and a sick sense of humour tries to be funny. That is, if it wasn't so common and deadly that the only sensible thing to do is to just carry a Greenroot Seed-specific antitoxin everywhere with you. If you want it cheap, it's fine, but at least provide a DC for the Fortitude save against it. Dozen (talk) 02:45, 17 July 2012 (MDT)
