First try at adding a NPC[edit]

I just tried to add my first NPC using Sledged's new method, is this correct? Did I do anything wrong? Hope it's OK, by the way the template is not that hard to figure out ;) --Green Dragon 23:29, 31 August 2006 (MDT)

Is everything about it correct? --Green Dragon 19:45, 13 September 2006 (MDT)
Looks fine for the most part. I'd correct the will save and the skill modifiers, but other than that the only changes I'd make would be cosmetic ones: Specify the number of dice for the weapon damages, remove "melee" and "ranged" from the text since the headers already specify them, add units to the speed, etc...
My biggest question is why did the original author think that the elite ability score array was 17, 16, 13, 11, 8, 8? —Sledged 22:29, 13 September 2006 (MDT)
Don't know... Also, I will fix the problems you mentioned... Thanks. --Green Dragon 23:21, 13 September 2006 (MDT)
Actually you can fix the problems... I'm a little confused so it would be nice if you would fix them so I can see exactly how they should be. Thanks. --Green Dragon 23:26, 13 September 2006 (MDT)
No problem. What I meant by the skills and will save is that the original author miscalculated them. The warrior class's only good save is fort. So the will save should be +0, not +2.
Similarly, goblins get a +4 size bonus to Hide, a +4 racial bonus to Ride and Move Silently, so with the Dex bonus and the armor check penalty for the shield, the modifiers for each are +5 Hide and Move Silently, and +6 Ride without any ranks. The Int 8 means this NPC only has 4 skill points. I went with how the goblin in the SRD and spent the skill points and put one rank in Spot and one in Listen which are both cross-class skills.
Also, I noticed the type is incorrect, too. I changed it to Humanoid (Goblinoid).
Cosmetically, I added to "ft." to the speed, removed space/reach—WotC specified that if it isn't listed, it's implicilty "5 ft./5 ft."—and rearranged the AC modifiers. —Sledged 10:36, 14 September 2006 (MDT)
Thank you very much for fixing it, I see exactly what you were talking about earlier now. --Green Dragon 18:54, 14 September 2006 (MDT)
