Talk:Gladiator, Variant (5e Background)
From D&D Wiki
Hi, what kind of tool proficiency is "An unusual weapon"? Marasmusine (talk) 17:15, 3 October 2015 (MDT)
- I am willing to bet An unusual weapon is what 3.5e would call an Exotic weapon. --Redrum 18:46, 25 May 2016 (MDT)
- Hmm, backgrounds aren't supposed to grant weapon proficiencies. I also noticed "I have bonds to no one" - A bond is supposed to be a way for the character to have a tie with the game world, so this should be changed. Marasmusine (talk) 08:08, 8 October 2015 (MDT)
Gladiator is already a background.[edit]
That's right, if you look up the 5e D&D Entertainer background in the Player's Handbook, they have a variant that allows you to be a Gladiator.
Is variant backgrounds allowed here? --Redrum 18:43, 25 May 2016 (MDT)
Tool Proficiency[edit]
Does the 5e Disguise Kit require Proficiency? I don't have my copy of the 5e Handbook near me. --Redrum 18:31, 29 June 2016 (MDT)
- Yes. Marasmusine (talk) 00:38, 30 June 2016 (MDT)
