WHO RUINED MY RACE![edit]

I had worked hard on this race and my computer with the original fried and I was hoping to get it back from here and now it is gone and replaced with this heap of trash.

I was LUCKY enough to find the ORIGINAL text and Hard Work I put into this race![edit]

Look, I designed this race in the likeness of the crystal gems from "Steven Universe" (though I was trying to be just inspired by it, so I changed up stuff trying not to reference too much, at least in name, but the obvious fanatic design went over my head while I was working on it and after I finished) and while I was more fanatic back then when I made this race, I've lost some interest later on but I still care for it today. Now I came back here to revise it and spruce it up, especially since I am much more used to making races and D&D content nowadays. I am not 100% perfect, nobody is, but the fact that I had to scramble to find my original work because I was under a completely different understanding on how this site works was absolute BULL. I am sad that people changed it so much and compared it to another race I had no knowledge existed, it is not the same, similar MAYBE, but only in the fact they are both gem people THAT IS IT! I am lucky to have found my original work or else I was gonna make heads roll till I got my work back, in any case I will not be rewriting this shell of a version of my race because it will be way too much work and I decided long ago that this site is WAY too complicated for everyone to use it, especially me. The fact that there is an abandoned type clause or BS system is rather amusing, this is because sorry not sorry but NO ONE is that obsessed about something to continually check up on it even as often as a month or two. Though whatever, my gripes are my gripes and my discomfort as well as view on this site has been drastically changed for the worse. I will no longer be dealing with this site on my own, if I put anything up it will be with someone else heading it as I personally do not wish to work on or with this site again. Call me whatever you like, say what you want, but my opinions on how this site is used by the creator/contributor side of it and that it is much too intricate for the general user are truthful statements. I hope the site changes for the better in the future making everything MUCH more easier to implement and understand. Because this experience was definitely not cool and stressful for me since when I make/write something it is basically a one & done, I cannot come up with, or create the same thing TWICE. So my ideas/work is very important because once I make it, that's it, if the file is lost, the picture destroyed, its gone forever. I have already lost more work than I wanted with my computer frying so this headache and stressful situation was absolutely awful and unacceptable. If any admin see's this, hope you guys learn at least a little from this and maybe think about or consider making a few changes to the process on this site. While I have my opinion and statements regarding this site as well as my experience with it, I am not some cancel culture type numb nut, so I will not be doing anything further than messaging my aggrievances and sharing my thoughts on improvement, so take it as that and have a nice day.

Hi, I'm the one who adopted the race from abandonment. As per the rules of the wiki, pages that haven't any significant edits for prolonged periods of time will be marked abandoned and spelunkers like me do go around trying to dig them out. If you wish, I can revert the edits made back to the original way it was during abandonment. If you have questions about how the wiki works, we do have the help page with helpful guidelines and templates.--Yanied (talk) 10:54, 1 April 2020 (MDT)

It's Not More Than A Shell Of What I Made Before[edit]

I Say this and sound as if a terrible act has transpired, but that is more because of timing of this and other stuff. Not saying this is minute in importance, but I digress, I was more angered and worried of not getting back MY RACE! Since this is now Clearly not my race anymore due to how many rewrites and edits have happened. Personally, I have my original version of this race now from fiddling around in the history to collect it all and I am working on polishing it up since I made it in my early years of being a DM. Since you and others basically created a new race compared to mine, in my eyes it's not mine and to erase the work of others is something I don't advocate for. I admit if I couldn't obtain the original work I uploaded I would be much more upset and such, still am not cool with how I find this site works as well as it's policies. So my choice is as I said it before this race in my eyes is no longer my race, so keep it, just rename it seeing as I wish to use that name since THAT is one of the few aspects of my original race untouched and I prefer to keep that. I plan on using it in my own campaign/content so I would appreciate the ability to keep my name I created, other than that do what you want, I most likely will not be uploading anything more to this site. If that is acceptable then have a good day!

Noted, the race name has been changed. I don't have much feeling if you wanted it reverted. By the way, here is the earliest version I found of your work with only the wikify tag on it if you want.--Yanied (talk) 14:09, 1 April 2020 (MDT)

Thanks For That, I Have What I Need[edit]

Thank you for that, I was able to collect the last bits that were missing and I appreciate the sentiment. I am fine as long as I have my original work, if you put up work or worked on something I think its not cool to ask someone to tear it down and the only way doing so would be okay is if they tore down another's work for their own. That's it, but in this case that didn't happen so things are square in my eyes and like I said before I was upset so my attitude reflected that, thus my apologies for my rudeness.
