Protection from energy is a 3rd level spell. It gives resistance to a choice of one out of 5 types of energy for 1 hour with no drawbacks

Flash sweat is a cantrip that gives resistance to fire damage (and only ever fire damage) with some serious drawbacks.

Again, the benefit itself needs to be reduced. Fire resistance is fire resistance, assume that it will be used in a situation where the drawbacks have minimal impact. Marasmusine (talk) 12:00, 4 May 2015 (MDT)
I have done the following changes: Change to 1st level spell, exhaustion takes effect on cast instead of after spell ends, reduce duration to 5 minutes. The Drawbacks are now more impactfull, makes it slightly more costly to cast.
