Talk:Fist of the Heavens (3.5e Spell)
From D&D Wiki
Overpowered[edit]
Doesn't this seem just a wee bit overpowered?
When you get it at level 7, it's a +7 on all attack rolls, +3 to AC, and it just gets worse from there. Bear in mind that the bonus applies to all rolls, including skills, dispel checks, attacks, turning... And depending on how you read it, it could also apply to damage. Add in the duration, 21 rounds at level 7, or over 2 minutes, and you have an iWin spell for any encounter. And it gets worse at higher levels, +20 to all rolls, +10 AC, 60 round duration...
I'd suggest toning it down to 1 round/level, and halving the bonus. -Ichai 13:25, 8 February 2010 (UTC)
- Of course if it makes sense and improves the article, as always, feel free. And I agree - it betters Bull's Strength and adds dex related things in as well in a level increasing manner. Toning it down would help however I do not know if making it just fist related and making a lesser, this, and greater version of static ones would improve the balance. - This will never work. Divine favor is considered suspect in some circles for its RNG-breaking qualities and this is that on crack. Kill it with fire. -- Jota 20:24, 8 February 2010 (UTC)
