Talk:Fire Whip (5e Spell)
From D&D Wiki
I can tell this is likely to become an edit war. Could both sides calm down, please? SirSprinkles (talk) 19:31, 23 March 2017 (UTC)
I am ok with the current version. In my sessions the fire whip will be attuned to the caster. It is supposed to be an almost living thing that knows the intent of the caster. (this is the reason that the caster would use his spell attack bonus instead of a regular melee attack.) This will remain so in my games. How other Dungeon Masters want to handle this is completely up to them. Persadies (talk) 21:12, 23 March 2017 (UTC)

I have been asked about casting two fire whips. If done the caster will need duel wielding and will not be able to cast more spells unless he drops one of the fire whips. This is how I will handle it in my games, other Dungeon Masters may decide if or how they would allow this. Persadies (talk) 12:55, 25 March 2017 (UTC)
The spell mentions that it deals "1d4 damage", but does not mention a damage type (slashing, probably). SirSprinkles (talk) 00:52, 7 April 2017 (UTC)
