Dodge Bonus?[edit]
Perhaps I'm overthinking this, but can a feat that gives you a +2 dodge bonus when wielding a single finesse weapon really be that good for Power and Purpose? It seems to me that this is outclassed by the many other feats out there that give dodge bonuses, which this will not stack with, and don't limit your fighting style. This seems to be intended as an alternative to rapier and dagger Two Weapon Defence style. However, other than saving a feat, I'd say this is outright worse. Two Weapon Defense does stack with dodge bonus from other feats, and doesn't require as great a sacrifice in damage potential. To be a decent trade-off, I would say that it ought to at least offer the same type of bonus (shield), so that it can likewise be combined with other defensive options. This could be re-flavoured from simply having a good stance to actively parrying attacks with your weapon.

- IIRC, all dodge bonuses explicitly stack with each other, no matter the source. --Salasay Δ 13:15, 14 April 2015 (MDT)
- To the best of my knowledge, RAW states that no bonuses of the same type ever stack. --KefkeWren (talk) 20:31, 14 April 2015 (MDT)
- Correction - Upon review, you are correct. Dodge bonuses are, in-fact, a special case. I would still maintain that, thematically, fencing is more about parrying attacks than dodging, and that while it certainly ought to stack with a dodge bonus, having it a bonus type that doesn't stack to itself is less cheese, though. --KefkeWren (talk) 06:41, 15 April 2015 (MDT)
