General[edit]

Please add more stuff. If you have a cool idea for a feat that isn't really a feat, dump it here. This page needs way more content. Thanks! "Enough small trees can kill anything" -- NerdyAarakocra (talk) 17:19, 23 February 2022 (MST)

Balance[edit]

Hi, I like the idea. But, if this is supposed to be a halfway between a feat and an epic boon, it should be comparable in power to something in between. Some always on features are just too strong to give before some, let's say, milestone of power. Example: resistance to Bludgeoning, Piercing, and Slashing damage from nonmagical attacks is given by forge cleric, but at the level 17, when both enemies have multiple damage types present, and barbarian can rage multiple times, so player going with barbarian won't feel like losing something iconic for him to others. Also, while nice to have, static features like this are just dull in practice; taking less damage by default is not something you can really build around, it doesn't open new options. That's why(at least in my opinion) Master of Negation and Touch of poison are way better than Mithral Heart, not in sense of raw power, but by their design. --Cezaryx (talk) 01:59, 24 February 2022 (MST)
Thanks for the heads up. I'll try to make it more balanced. "Enough small trees can kill anything" -- NerdyAarakocra (talk) 08:25, 24 February 2022 (MST)
Update: I made it a reaction feature that you can use twice to reduce damage. Does this help?
Yeah, pretty much, even increasing uses to some more like prof. bonus or some ability score could work well. It's not that passives are just inherently bad and only abilities with resources are good, just half of the value of a ability is in what it entails for a character's playsytle. If it's nothing really, then it's not that great. --Cezaryx (talk) 11:19, 25 February 2022 (MST)
