Talk:Entomancer (5e Class)
From D&D Wiki
This class is a WIP, feel free to suggest ideas and make minor edits when its fully complete
- Saving throws: Wis and Con are two "common" saves; you should have a common and uncommon
- A choice between hide armor and chain armor is not a choice at all.
- You would not normally have features on the same level you have an ASI, unless it's a minor utility feature.
- Similarly you would not normally have features on levels where you gain a new spell slot level. Level 5 might be the exception, as that's where everyone gets their first damage bump (such as cantrip damage, extra attack, etc). Therefore Infestation should be at 6th level, Hiveborn improvement to 10th level, etc.
- "When you use your action to make an unarmored attack you can use your reaction..." Marasmusine (talk) 11:14, 25 October 2017 (MDT)
Population[edit]
I would suggest that you add more features related to population points, it currently feels, like this class is evolution based rather than swarm based as one would think from the name entomancer.
- How many insects are there per Population Point? Is it the "PP" x "the number of insects in an average swarm"? Or is this yet to be determined?
Population points[edit]
I get that you might want to make a low number of population points, but having one per level just doesn't seem enough. You don't have enough points at first level to even use any of your population features. As far as I can tell, you can only do the hemo-vampirisis feature until you get higher levels. Even then, the population point features can only be used a few times until you get to higher levels. While this could be something worked out with the DM, it might be nice to have more points that you can use. Wfinch21 (User talk:wfinch21) 8:51, 04 July 2023
