Talk:Detective (5e Background)

There are too many tool proficiencies for this background. There should only be two, and a language counts as one. Also, why should a detective get proficiency in a forgery kit?

Xanathar's Guide p. 81. The forgery kit proficiency has synergy with the investigation skill, giving advantage to "determine how an object was made and whether it is genuine." Sounds like a pretty solid detective proficieny to me. I will edit down the other proficiencies though. Marasmusine (talk) 07:46, 27 February 2023 (MST)
