Talk:Death Worm (4e Creature)
From D&D Wiki
Cryptid[edit]
This monster is based on the "Mongolian Death Worm" cryptid. -- Sepsis 15:39, 3 June 2009 (MDT)
Encounters[edit]
I will put up Encounter Groups within the next few days. -- Sepsis 15:39, 3 June 2009 (MDT)
- Once more I'm having some problems with coming up with some good encounter groups for these guys. Any suggestions will be apprieciated. - Sepsis 13:35, 4 June 2009 (MDT)
- Hmm. Given the somewhat limited fluff for creatures in 4e, there's very few that would explicitly fit in a desert environment. I suppose you could have a few of the worms preying on a not-quite-dead hyena, or maybe serving as mounts for desert-dwelling kobolds. If you have Monster Manual 2, a dust devil elemental could wander by during the middle of an encounter.
Basic Attack[edit]
I'm pretty sure that in 4e creatures are required to have at least one basic attack. Otherwise this is (as usual) a great monster, though I think that it would greatly benefit from a melee attack. --Aboleth11 21:12, 16 June 2009 (MDT)
- Defensive Jolt is also a Basic Melee attack. But I will add it as a seperate power, just to keep it clear, thanks. -- Sepsis 11:16, 17 June 2009 (MDT)
- I went ahead and created a BM for them, a Bite, so they can cause untyped damage. -- Sepsis 11:24, 17 June 2009 (MDT)
- It looks much better. --Aboleth11 13:28, 17 June 2009 (MDT)
