Talk:Customized (D20 Modern Class)
From D&D Wiki
This is a really cool idea for a class. I tried to do this once but never could get it to work out right. Two things though: first of all, all of your X progressions don't normally exist. When the standard game only uses low/med/high, I'm not sure if it's necessary to add another level (for one thing, it makes balancing a lot harder). Second, the standard for action points is 5 + 1/2 level for base classes, 6 + 1/2 level for advanced classes, and 7 + 1/2 level for prestige classes. Maybe instead of using your points to choose how many you get, you can have a class feature that increases the numbers you get at, say, 5th and 10th levels. JazzMan 16:59, 9 March 2010 (UTC)
I am glad that someone liked it. Thought for the longest time that no one did. The Xtreme power settings come at the cost of lower power in a lot of other areas. This class is supposed to be used by itself without switching to any other base class , advanced class , or prestige class. I posted it here in the hopes that people would like it and discuss among themselves how to make it better and more balanced , and edit it accordingly. I mostly only play with my brother , so have never really had enough info to balance the class ; that and I love changing rules to much and to often. (BFE3) 68.92.139.15 05:46, 14 June 2010 (UTC)
I like the concept of this class, but if it's supposed to be used only by itself, shouldn't the tables be extended to show a full 20-level progression?
I just wanted to say "Thank you!", I used this to make advanced classes for my sci-fi setting and they seem to work quite well.
