Price[edit]

I'd reconsider the cost of this item. Based on this table, which lists estimated costs for magic items, your item is very underpriced. Using the SRD magic item creation rules, your item would be priced something like this:

weapon enhancement bonus: 5 x 5 x 2000 = 50000 AC bonus: -2 x 2 x 2500 = -10000 so you're at 40000 gp, and we'll just forget about the other abilities. We could also guesstimate the price another way: comparing it to a spell it emulates. true strike is a L1 spell, but your weapon isn't quite as effective as that. your weapon would be more like a 0th level true strike. the AC reduction would be like a 0th-level mage armour.

anyways, the way that i would get an effective price for this item would be like so: price out a +1 keen light crossbow (4325 gp). subtract a 0th-level mage armour spell (-500 gp, 4325-500=3825 gp). We'll ignore the fact that there are many other, smaller abilities in there.

But yeah. I'd put this at about 4000gp, and even that is too low. Remember that most characters require a second-tier feat (precise shot) to be able to effectively shoot into melee. also consider that most characters require the "improved critical" feat to increase their critical hit multipliers with one weapon. your weapon emulates these two feats at the cost of a full-round action. i think you should reconsider the pricing and/or abilities of this weapon. --Othtim 01:04, 23 February 2008 (MST)

You might want to use the word "also" less often in the weapon description. --Sam Kay 12:29, 23 February 2008 (MST)
What are you talking about? *Reads weapon again* Wait, this isn't my orginal work. Some one edited the crossbow and changed it, I would never allow this for its current price. I'm going to change it back to the orginal stats and lets see how it looks --Watsyurname529 19:33, 24 February 2008 (MST)
The last sentince needs the "Also" at the start removing. --Sam Kay 07:45, 25 February 2008 (MST)
Fixed. --Green Dragon 00:10, 26 February 2008 (MST)
The IP that edited your origional work to "make it more realistic" edited it again. I reversed it back to your origional work. --Sam Kay 08:34, 26 February 2008 (MST)
