Talk:Corsair (5e Class)
From D&D Wiki
May I suggest giving the Shanty ('Under the Black Flag', Tier 1) a +5 to movement? It makes it easier to use this class in a gridbased game. Just my two cents. Mathijsvs (talk) 08:32, 30 May 2016 (MDT)
- Powder monkey doesn't do anything. If firearms and artillery exist in the campaign, then you can already craft them with the Crafting downtime activity.
- Pirate's Trial.
- Is there a distinction between "try to attack a target" and "attack a target"?
- It says "engaged in 1 on 1 combat", but nothing prevents your whole party ganging up on the target, is this correct?
- How long does this effect last for?
- "per long rest"
- See the Sea. Double proficiency bonus would be more appropriate to advantage.
- Roll and Go. Correct wording: "When you make a Strength (Athletics) check related to climbing, you are considered proficient in Athletics". Consider having this negate the penalty for difficult terrain on a ship, rather than bonus movement.
- "opportunity attack" not "attack of opportunity", not that you need to mention this, as it's already a reaction.
- Dirty Fighting.
- You don't need to mention that creatures who are immune to blindness are immune to blindness. Also creatures with no eyes will be immune to blindness. Does the effect last until the start of your next turn, or the end of your next turn?
- Does the "sever a muscle" work on constructs? undead? swarms? oozes? How long does the effect last for? Why not use the optional lingering wound table in the core rulebook?
