Talk:Corrupted Soul (4e Race)

Firstly, on the description, I often come across homebrew races that say "not much is known about them" as though that's an excuse for not writing much about them. They might be mysterious in the game world, but the DM and the Player need to know more than this. "They don't worship gods" is also quite common, and again strikes me as lazy.

What is their lineage? Do they keep records of their history? How do holy and demonic corrupted souls get on with each other? What is their culture like? How do other races treat them? What would get a corrupted soul banned from their community? What are common motivations and personalities? How do they dress? What do they sound like? And so on.

Secondly, on terminology. Immortal Blood says "Whenever you are bloodied" - does this mean this is a single event that triggers when the player is bloodied, or does it mean "while you are bloodied"? (I'm sure it must be the latter, like a Shifter). Holy Form is a close burst 1, and then the description doesn't say what happens with the burst. Is that for the blindness? Also, blindness for most creatures this is -5 to attack rolls, this would be powerful even against a single target with an attack roll: this power can affect multiple creatures without an attack roll. Demonic form has similar wording and balance issues. If you're not sure how to fix this, I can do it for you. Marasmusine (talk) 02:29, 5 August 2015 (MDT)
