Talk:Compact Cloaker (5e Feat)
From D&D Wiki
You're putting too many things into these feats, and the things you're putting in are all stacking bonuses that concentrate strongly on one thing, which goes against the 5e philosophy of bounded accuracy. Compare the end-state of your Stealth skill from taking the feat Skill Expert--you're ending up with expertise and +0.5 from increasing your Dexterity. That's it. This feat is giving expertise, free advantage if you can swing any kind of concealment, and super-advantage if you're in darkness. Then you're also getting a flat bonus to Stealth against bigger creatures and a flat bonus to AC for succeeding in a Hide check. Do you see how this feat is staggeringly more powerful? —Salasay ♄ 05:48, 22 May 2023 (MDT)
