Fixing[edit]

Thank you for you input, the up keeping after missions is because the naruto dnd is more mission based instead of dungeon based. The cost of the clothes was a suggestion from a talk in the previous category i put the armor in but was told it didnt fit correctly in it having 2 different cost would be situational, the 200 to just buy each piece separately in store/shop in bigger city/town that is more wealthy or outside of missions and quests. 300 if during a missions or quest and in smaller poorer less. Situations like that. The clothes and 3 pieces because it was marked as unbalanced when i had it as 1 set. I initially had it with stealth advantage, resistance to natures with affinity that the wearer possed, and and increased movement speed (a bonus for each piece) but was marked as overpowered. Nearly anything i added as was marked as either overpowered or unbalanced. This being a new category i am trying to place this item in, dose any of the previous ideas seem workable? --Juni513 (talk) 10:15, 10 October 2020 (MDT)

Howdy, I typically prefer doing communication here rather than by email.
  • I would take the durability thing out completely in favor of a proper variant rule for a handful of reasons. Firstly, why would the cost for being stabbed by a needle once be equal to being blasted by 100 lightning bolts? Second, there aren't any penalties to having low quality, so a player is just spending gp for no reason. Third, why would only this be effected by durability when a piece of leather armor isn't.
  • Magic item cost is determined by a DM for the explicit reason of magical and economic distribution.
  • While it may have been unbalanced as a single piece of non-magical armor, a mundane magical item shouldn't give you no benefit. There's a reason you can't just buy 1 bracer of defense. Making it a single item shouldn't be a problem.
  • The best idea you mentioned would be the nature affinity resistance with a +1 AC bonus, making it a campaign-specific Cloak of Protection. It would be pretty interesting and fun to have as a player. --Ref3rence (talk) 10:30, 8 October 2020 (MDT)
