Yes, hitting a caryatid column can shatter your magical weapon (and I made a suggestion in the description for reforging broken magic weapons.) A DM can use this monster to encourage the players to use a variety of weapons, or ranged attacks. At worse its one of those monsters you just need to avoid. 12:38, 31 August 2015 (MDT)
