Talk:Butcher, Variant (5e Feat)
From D&D Wiki
Response to: Grants, among other things, a flat increase to an ability score based on how many Beasts you're fighting. Unworkable.
The dexterity increase was supposed to be only +1 regardless of how many beasts you are being fought, not +1 for each beast being fought. I would totally agree that would be overpowered. The maximum of 20 was just for the standard ability score limit. Hope I clarified that.-Dondatis

- A +1 bonus to Dexterity is useless unless they already had an odd-numbered Dex score, and no one is ever going to deliberately leave their Dex at an odd number just so they can use this ability against Beasts. Also--flat advantage against an entire class of opponents that isn't workable, because it's either completely broken or useless. —Salasay ♄ 10:37, 22 May 2023 (MDT)
