Talk:Brutal Offense (3.5e Feat)

Level 6[edit]
I'm not sure how much I like the level 6 ability of this feat. Tome classes already deal enough damage (they were made with that point in mind), so I don't think adding more on with this feat is a particularly good idea.
I'm leery of the level 0 ability for a similar reason, but I also think that an extra 2d6 at level 1 is just way, way too good -- that just makes you straight-up better than the Rogue. Surgo 01:21, 3 August 2009 (MDT)
- Yeah, I wasn't sure about the +0 Benifit myself, but I wanted a way that the feat scaled with it's prerequisite feat, any other ideas will be welcomed as for what it should do, since, as you pointed out, it makes you flattly better than the rogue.
- Of course, the +6 benifit is arguable. Since it really isn't very much of a benifit unless you have a large strength modifier, in which case it still isn't that big of a difference. → Rith (talk) 02:11, 3 August 2009 (MDT)
- For the people taking this feat, it's another 6-10 damage. On top of all the multipliers and bonuses that currently exist, especially in Tome. Feats can't be created in a vacuum in Tome, you need to consider other relevant feats. With all the other ways to increase damage, I don't think the +6 is arguable at all -- I think it pushes hyper-specialized characters up too much. Surgo 09:11, 3 August 2009 (MDT)
