Talk:Blade Singer (5e Class)
From D&D Wiki
it seems like the AC bonus gained from Flourish is kinda useless. At a first glance it seems powerful until you realize that you will never use said bonus. Since the AC disappears once your turn ends. which means all that hard earned AC is gone.
as a side note you should order the features based on levels, instead of having them all over the place. And say if a feature is a Bonus action, reaction or a main action --QuartzRhytmatics (talk) 19:54, 8 September 2017 (MDT)
No AC[edit]
your class seems cool but unless you choose the second path you have no AC. You should have some sort of unarmored defense as a class feature not a subclass one.
on a side note your extra attack is a bit confusing, you should just stick with what they show on the fighter in the PBH. Oh I hope you don't mind but i changed the DC saves for the subclasses a bit, because they were contradicting themselves. --Catmanaz (talk) 09:22, 18 April 2019 (MDT)
Having played this class to level 6, Whirl and Flow are too situational to be useful.[edit]
Whirl
Not at all useful compared to Dual Striking. Why would I use Whirl when I could instead Dual Strike my target? If I needed the fire damage then I could use Flame Song. This seems like a cool crowd control idea that is not implemented well. I found myself just using Dual Strike + Flame Song because of the higher damage output.
Flow
The benefit from Flow is almost never felt due to not being able to wear armor. I found wearing armor to be much more preferable than getting an occasional AC benefit from Flow.

Minor Edits[edit]
Just added a few changes to the bit before the class table to make it a bit easier to understand and more accurate to the PHB :) -Azazel40447
