Wow, this class looks pretty cool. There are some problems, however; first, it's way overpowered. Anything that increases a crit range is powerful, and easy to break. There's a reason things that increase it never stack. Second, that instant death effect is too easy to pull off and break. Starting at DC 30+level(3 minimum), you also add the Dex and Str mods? If a character got 18s at least in both of those, that would make for a save of 41; the dreaded Sphere of Ultimate Destruction spell almost never has a save that high. What would balance that ability well would be to change the formula to DC 10 + half battosai level + Dex modifier (essentially the same as a caster's spells). -Aordain, 9/21/10

It's an interesting class, but I want to point out a few flaws. It's not Battosai, it should be Battousai. Also, a Battoujutsu/Iaijutsu/Iai Strike cannot be preformed with a straight bladed weapon. The reason the attack increases the damage and speed is specificly the curved shape of the blade pulling from the sheath. The scabberd adds stability to the blade, which allows it to be swung faster. This would increase damage, not crit range. Also, a straight bladed weapon wouldn't be capable of this because it has to be unsheathed straight and then swung, it cannot be both in the same motion. I have a base class built off of this concept, and based off of Rurouni Kenshin that I will try to load soon. I'm surprised this wasn't pointed out before now though. Yroc 12/16/12

This looks like a great class, but if I'm not mistaken you should be able to access this class from the base class battousai? The only thing really stopping you is the base class doesn't have sleight of hand even though it really should. So, how would you recommend getting slieght of hand for this class? 05/02/14 Katsumi
