Talk:Auto Picker (5e Equipment)

I like the idea, but it means that for a mere 50 gp you can unlock legendarily complex locks (say DC 40 or more) in the space of one short rest. I am going to limit this to normal locks (DC 15 or less) and limit its lifespan. Marasmusine (talk) 04:03, 9 January 2016 (MST)
- The downside was that it took the locks DC worth of minutes to unlock, so for a lock DC of 30 it would mean waiting half an hour for the door to unlock. PLENTY of time for a passing guard to walk past or a roaming monster to stumble upon them. Also because it only hold 30 minutes worth of 'charge' it couldn't unlock anything with a DC of 31 or more.
Regardless I like your concept, can't argue with the altering of price and it seems simple and memorable. ChldOfTheNxtGen (talk) 08:14, 10 January 2016 (MST)
- I hadn't thought of the 30 minute/DC limit :) Marasmusine (talk) 12:40, 10 January 2016 (MST)
